Sidetracks; The DDs' BBQ!!!!!!!! WOOOO!!!

It was a nice morning and I had YET to sleep a wink for the past few nights already! Looks like something's wrong with me argh, but well, being unable to sleep, it meant that I wasn't going to lose to Jian Lei's bet with me that I'd be late in meeting up with him to go for the BBQ at Huan Min's place... That's what I thought, but I somehow decided to try sleeping again, just to take a short nap, and ended up SLEEPING IN. So I quickly rushed down to meet Jian Lei because I know he will never stop talking about it! We headed to Huan Min's place and we were earlier, so we played Mahjong with Huan Min and Ching Wee while Melissa played the violin by the side... Interesting scenario eh??

Soon, Jun Jie and Jia Hui arrived, and shortly after, Linsay, Denise and Zhengyu have all reached as well, so we headed down to the BBQ pit to start the fire. We guys entertained and busied ourselves with the starting of the fire instead of letting Huan Min's maid do it LOL. After we managed to start the fire, we decided to leave the cooking to her. Just then, out of nowhere, a frickin' toy bowling ball fell from the sky or something in front of Jian Lei and myself, so we picked it up and we guys played a game of "Monkey" while waiting for the food to cook, muahahaha!

After monkeying around awhile we got tired so we drank our drinks first while we waited for the food to be cooked and soon it was and we ate like KINGS! After finishing our meals, Linsay was still doing her Project Work with the laptop at the table, so I helped her type while she ate her meal. And then... AND THEN THE SCREEN WENT BLANK. We were like WAH LAO EH, and keeping our fingers crossed, Linsay and I went up to Huan Min's place to charge the battery. Luckiy the data was saved, and we could continue and finish the typing rather quickly (GOOD ON YOU MS WORD!)

When Linsay and I got back to the BBQ Pit, the rest were playing poker cards to entertain themselves. I saw the guitar that I brought down from Huan Min's place, and began to play a tune, hehehe. Soon we were creating NONSENSICAL songs and singing really loudly too LOL!

After all the singing, Huan Min gave us sparklers, and boy, these were the fastest sparklers I have ever used, less than ten seconds and it was GONE. We began to play with them till we got chased away by the guard, hehe, it was kinda late and the sparklers weren't the quiet ones either when you lit them :S:S:S

Pictures (THANKS DENISE):

Monkeying around till the food is done!!

Look like Soccer isn't the only game that can make guys run after one ball, LOL.

Let's escape from the game Jian Lei! (Attempt is kinda unsuccessful since we were kinda caught on Denise's camera right? >=S)

Drinkin while we continue to wait for the food to cook. (P.S. Notice the balloons on Huan Min's head... Zhengyu finds a different use for them later...)

SEE WHAT I MEAN? (Ninja Zhengyu)

Jian Lei: HE-HEY! I think I need a MASK TOO! (LOL, just kidding dudeeeeee)

Still waiting for the food to get ready...

Red Cup Club! LOL!

HUH? FOOD IS READY? (O_O)

WOOOO GO EATTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!

I KNOW HOW THIS LOOKS, BUT I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT OKAY!!! I WAS TRYING TO HELP!!! (Huan Min slipped off the see-saw twice during the entire BBQ, MUST LEARN TO BALANCE!)

Helping Linsay out... *Type Type Type*

OKAY GUYS! TIME TO USE OUR CREATIVITY AND MAKE SONGS WHICH DON'T MAKE SENSE!

LOL, more discussion on what to sing about!

Eh, looks like sleep has finally caught up to me... (SORRY JIA HUI, LOL)

Let's sit down shall we... (JJJ...JIAN LEI!!! THERE'S A HAND ON YOUR BACK!!! Oh it's your own.)

Whew, sitting comfortably, let's continue with our song!

OMG, BATMAN!

WOOO HAVING FUN! (Where are the rest though?)

=D

WOOO SPARKLERS! THANKS HUAN MIN!

Nothing beats having fireworks to end the night eh!

Anyway, IT WAS A BLAST! GOOD JOB HUAN MIN, YOU ROCKKKKK!

Sidetracks; LOST (City Version)

Ever tried taking the MRT's Red Line to the very end? You guys remember seeing a station called Marina Bay but never really bothered to take yourselves all the way there because as some of you probably know, it's a frickin' business district and full of construction all over... Well, we didn't. (Okay, I, ME, IT'S MY FAULT.)

I suggested that we take the train all the way to Marina Bay. I have no idea how I could have forgotten that we should get off at City Hall to get to Marina SQUARE. (Somehow, I think it had something to do with the weather, yes, the weather's got to be the reason.) Anyway, the other two, JJ and Jian Lei FAILED AS WELL, because neither of them even spoke up about us going to the BAY. Anyway when we got off, it was epic. We came out and I have no idea why, even then I though it was still normal, when all around us, there were construction sites and business buildings. I have no idea what was entering my head at that time... Probably nothing. In the end, I realised... "Eh, DAMN, we should have gotten off at CITY HALL!" JJ and Jian Lei just looked on blankly. However, seeing from afar certain familiar buildings, we thought that Marina Square shouldn't be that far away. So I decided out of randomness and the heat of the sun (which by the way is exceptionally bright and glaring at that point of time and venue), "LET'S GO ON AN ADVENTURE!"

So I began leading the way, of which I ended up leading us to a road block at one of the construction sites, and the worker there had to lead us around to get to the other side. Then we made our way randomly within the district. With no idea whatsoever on how to get to Marina Square from where we were at. We walked in circles and ended up back where we started. By then, we were really going to head back when all of a sudden, a sudden drive made us go forward in a certain direction, which, THANK GOODNESS, eventually led us to MARINA SQUARE!

Along the way we came to this area where we took shots of the floating stadium. After much walking around at Marina Square looking for a nice shirt for me and Jian Lei to wear for an upcoming party, we failed terribly. We met up with Jia Hui later and we headed (back) to AMK Hub, where by then we were extremely exhausted, and the clothes didn't seem that appealing the first time either.

Finally, we got on the crowded train and headed back home, and that was it! So we went out, walked around in circles, got lost, and finally ended up with NOTHING to go back with! Very fruitful eh guys??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

First thing we saw when we came out of the station. Not a very pleasant sight instead of seeing CityLink is it!!!

Yeap, imagine seeing this about er... 5 times over as you walk around aimlessly. >:S

Hehehe, finally when we got to relax, just decided to try out taking a picture... :S

TAKE THAT! CONFUSING BUILDINGS WHICH KEPT US GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!!!

That's all for now, heh heh, will be blogging really sooooooon.

Sidetracks; Vashon & Jian Lei in The Quest For THE GREATEST GIFTS!!!

Okay! This will be a rather disturbing post if you actually bother to catch all the "hidden messages" within it, so for those people who are exceptionally good at reading between the lines, BEWARE!!! (No actually, it's quite obvious really).

Once upon a time, two boys were getting prepared to go for a party. Then they were told to bring gifts to this party they were going to. They scratched their heads and wondered what they should get. So, they decided to go to a magical place called a Shopping Centre to take a look.

When they entered the magical place, they saw many many many things to get as a gift. However, they instead decided to head to a place where they could possibly find things that both boys and girls may like. They went to Popular.

At Popular, they saw many many items which looked exceptionally bad. They were delighted. They knew that this was definitely not the place, but because they were in there, they decided to entertain themselves by thinking of the horrific expressions that their friends would give when they opened up the boxes to their presents. And of course, being two boys, they also managed to end up thinking of other things too... Here were the items they were pondering over (not really).

Item #1:

Things you can use to store "200,000 GB of things you dont want people to see", Isnt it fabulous!!!

Item#2:

Now that you have "200,000 GB of things you dont want people to see", you will need a notebook to categorize all of them! (For those with exceptional memory even after watching the "200,000 GB of things you dont want people to see", kudos to you! I have heard it kills brain cells, you guys are a rare breed!)

Item#3:

Out of absolute randomness, we just thought that kids these days are spending too much money, so they probably need stuff like theseeeeeeee!
Item #4:
For viewing only. (Not to mention this obviously wasnt in Popular either.)

So the quest came to an end, as the two boys headed into Mini Toons and bought the items, and thus concluding that Popular is a horrible place to look for gifts! (Unless...?)

Sidetracks; Long time no see! Recent events!

Hiya everyone, it's been a while since my previous post, I understand that this blog was almost deemed fit for the dead but I am officially trying to bring it back to life again (for the who-the-heck-is-keeping-count-th time). Recently, there has been many things happening, but because it's quite small, I considered them rather negligible, but since I am blogging about it, I think I will just give due credit to them anyway.
1. I went out to play basketball for the entire long weekend, and I mean three times in a row, because it was Vesak Day, there was an extra monday for me to recuperate, and so I went all out and balled three times in a row from Friday till Sunday, not improving tremendously, but certainly satisfying my fingers.
2. Two days ago, I went playing basketball AGAIN, this time with JL, Isis and XH. We got JL's present and it was a cap (WEAR IT). Thereafter, JL and I planned to meet up again later because we were going to wait for JJ and Linsay to join us for basketball AGAIN (nuts). In the end, JJ couldn't stay long enough, and Linsay came really late, the lights were frickin' off when we began. In the end, we played all the way past midnight (I am surprised nobody complained). Extremely tired, we went home.
3. Yesterday, it was table tennis, CK and Haziq came over for the second time to play table tennis. The first time was during the long weekend mentioned previously, so that makes it table tennis and basketball, doesn't it?
4. Went to Escape Theme Park today, and finally after typing so much about the things I do, I took a few pictures for this one, and in fact there are pictures for some of the balling events, just need time to get 'em though.

Pictures:
Escape heh, those two people at the bottom, are ridiculously tall aren't they??

JL and me (Happy Birthday dude heh!)
That's all for now, I think there's some event I forgot to post about involving the gang, oh well, I shall search your blogs to check it out heh.

Sidetracks; Sunny Sentosa! The Long-Awaited Outing for the DDs!

Finally, the time has come for ME TO BLOG AGAIN! Yes I know it's been a really long time since I have expressed myself with words upon a website, but hey, life's been rather hectic lately, so I didn't really have the time to do so! What about the holidays?, they ask. WELL, okay I got lazy, but I am blogging again now! I initially had intended to post about certain feelings of which I am enduring at school, but I think I shan't ruin the mood with such lousy talk. OKAY, it was a fine Saturday, I woke up extremely late and TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE OUTING. Thank goodness the DDs are so patient, they bothered to wait for me, so I rushed down as quickly as I could. So after five stops of the train, and a mirror check for improper wax usage on the hair, I was ready to meet them at the bus-stop and we were on our way to Harbour Front to take the bus to Sentosa.

Forty-five minutes and $3 later, we arrived in the sunny island of Sentosa, where, to our dismay, were pre-occupied by tons of people using the volleyball courts. With a volleyball in one hand, and looking really stupid, we walked over to some less crowded area of the beach, and using our ingenuity, MADE OUR OWN COURT! So with brown lines on the sand, we played our game. we played for a long while, and realized we all weren't exactly that great with the volleyball, but it was FUN nonetheless!

After the volleyball game was over, we headed to the waters where is was SO COOLING, especially since the Sun was exceptionally hot and glaring. We waded in the water and finally unable to control ourselves any longer dived in. The girls, Linsay and Denise decided to remain dry so they went up to a huge cliff rock and took photos there. In the water, we were going crazy with our competitions. 1. Catch the Fishes Competition. 2. Breath-holding Competiton. 3. Swimming Competition. Unfortunately, our last "Olympic" event could not take place, since swimming was like insanely tiring especially after a sweaty match of volleyball. So we hanged around alittle longer and got our tans, then we headed to the showers to wash up. I came out of the toilet quickly, and I saw three, three magical ladies! Okay, I am not saying I was going gaga over there, but I really should get out more often, hahahahaha! Anyway, we headed to Vivo City after that to eat. Then we bought badges for our bags, but these badges needed to be custom-made, so we will do the collection some other day, but it'd be unique to us, because then we will probably remember this outing. Finally, we headed to Lot One, and played the arcade. As usual we went insane there, DDR with four limbs, and crash-burn-toppple Daytona Racing (sorry Jian Lei and Linsay, the Pink and Blue Cars were sore-eyes to me, HAHAHAHAHA).

After that, we initially wanted to eat at the Plaza, but it was already coming close to 11 by the time we reached the place, so we went home instead. All in all, it was a really fun outing! I am glad the DDs finally managed to get together again!

Pictures:

Woohoo! Sentosa! Sun and Fun!

Trying to look cool, but failing terribly? Hehehe.

From left: Vashon, Jianlei, Max, Jia Hui and Junjie!...................and Denise, LOL.

Linsay with the volleyball, turning darker with each passing minute, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Meanwhile, the guys are having lessons on how to play a better game of volleyball. Ahahaahah! No lah, just resting.

Took to the waters! (Having fun, Linsay? Hehehe.)

Please save this creature, it's an endangered species.

These are the fishes we were supposed to catch, but nobody won that competiton, these guys are too darn fast!

Woohoo, Singapore Waters we thought never existed! Blue water! (usually it's brown or green, bleah)

Haiz, depressing moment. Pathetic Sunkist Orange 250ml...

Come on Thomas... Share my sorrowful drink.

ARGGGGGHHHHHHHHH, I look so tired, so sorry Denise, I promise a proper pic the next time!

LOL, and that's all for this post! Hope we can hang out together soon guys, with more DDs taking part the next time around!

Sidetracks; Day 2, & Day 3!

Yesterday was day 2 of the orientation programme for PJC, and it was very very very worrying. Basically for the most part of the day, we went to intro-lectures where we were exposed to the various subjects and how difficult they'd be. We knew JC wouldn't be easy, but what I saw was something way beyond comprehensible means! Maths was okay, but only because it didn't give much details other than the things we'd be doing for our syllabus, yeah like we'd know what to expect when you just give us the topic titles >=(. Chemistry was the scariest in my opinion. The teacher was trying to be very realistic, so he used an 'O' level chemistry question and gave us the answer, it was a rather simple question, basically how to get an organic compound to change into another, but then came the 'A' level standard answer, which was to basically add in more details into the steps of how the new product came to be. I only recall alittle of his talk, but stuff like nucleophylic substitution reaction or whatsoever doesn't really bode well for me, so PASS. :D

After all the intro-lectures were said and done, we were left to do our own OG time, and it was the last one we'd be having! :( The OG leaders were going to leave us already so it was quite sad. But they left us with a parting gift, and that was the contact list of everybody in our OG, and some parting words as well. And after a rather short debrief, we were released.

Day 3:
Today was day 3, and since I completed most of my intro-lectures yesterday, I didnt want to stick around and do nothing for 3 hours or so, so my friends and I decided to go play basketball. We found alot of guys who wanted to do so as well, but man the answer we got was reaaaally not very satisfactory: "The P.E. department does not loan balls." Sounds kinda... Off. Anyway, we were basically walking around alot and just talking about decisions on how our subject combinations should be like. I was caught in the dilemma between Chemistry and Physics, because both seemed just as mortifying, but I was clearly bothered about Chemistry's intro-lecture. So at the end of it, it SHALL BE PHYSICS! We had loads of crappy stuff happening to us in between the walking around sessions for like 3 hours, sitting in the library to cool off and other stuff. At the end of the day, there was a CCA exhibition, and I am now considering between tennis or maybe a club. Seeing that studying should be more important, just as how nice my testimonial should be, I guess this is a rather important decision to make. Oh well, lessons begin tomorrow, or rather the lectures, time to go to school!

OG5!

Sidetracks; Pioneer JC! Exciting 1st day!

The sun wasn't even out in the sky yet, and I was already out of my house making my way to the bus-stop. I didn't even drag my feet as people would usually do on the first day of school, because I WAS TOO EXCITED! SCHOOL! SCHOOOOOOL! I began timing myself as to how long it might take to reach Pioneer, and it took me exactly half an hour and that means no more "aiya five more minutes lah!" in the morning! Anyway the first day was pretty much an introduction to the school, with many talks in the morning, such as the principal giving her speech, and other things that basically concerned how our upbringing in the JC would be like. As this was an orientation, we were all seperated to our own Orientation Groups (OGs)! I was grouped with OG05, and everybody was really nice, albeit abit shy, which is natural for everyone, with everything looking foreign and all. This was truly a new start for all of us, and as I realized the teachers in PJC like to say, "give you a new slade", or something like that, it was pretty much true! We began introducing ourselves to each other once the ice-breaking sessions began, and I got to know many people by the end of it, which was pretty cool, muahahaha! We also had a tour around the school before that, and boy the school's HUGE! After everything was done for the day, we had a song and cheer session right at the end, and everybody were probably just too tired from the day's events to get as hyped up as the OG leaders and student councilors, heh. Oh well, that's all for today, but maybe tomorrow'd be a more butt-aching event, since it'd be talks, and lectures... Well, we will wait and see!

Sidetracks; Uncertainty.

Another day is about to pass, and the days draw closer to me entering my new school (of which has yet to be confirmed even). It has already been quite awhile since I last promised myself I'd catch up to this particular person, and all that's happened so far is just making me falter in that promise. Other than chasing that person, now I am faced with another question of how the new things that have yet to come will be like. Also, I wonder if old friends can really stick together despite distances. My definite answer is probably not, but we could try right? Heh, I guess I shouldn't sound so depressed about all this, I am after all still pretty damn excited about meeting new people. I hope I dont get into trouble though! Chinese New Year's 2nd day was just yesterday, which means alot of people have already returned to their work and schools today, and I am still at home awaiting my turn, hahaha... Oh well, BRING IT ON!!!

Sidetracks; Happy Birthday Denise ...once again I took so long to post something up.

So it was Denise's birthday, and we helped celebrate it for her, well technically, this was Linsay's idea, I just helped with the preparation, eh, please please PLEEEEEEEEEEASE dont do steamboat if you can help it! Ingredients, preparation of ingredients and the soup itself is no joke! Soup is okay actually if you are alright with just a normal taste, sure hope the people who attended weren't expecting something stupendous like Authentic Shark Fin's Soup ahahahahah!! Yeah anyway, Happy Birthday Denise, sorry this post is so late, but I had to do it anyway.

Just one:

18 right? Think you could get a license and start driving us around??? =D
