Sidetracks; THE JUNIOR SPORTS LEADER TRAINING PROGRAMME!

There is only a few words that I can use to describe the entire programme. It was "fantastic", "informative" and very "interactive". Well, here's what happened. Basically, I and a few others were sent by our school to represent the NPCC Unit in helping out in the day's programme. Out of the eight schools in our NPCC area, only three responded, and that was us, Greenridge, Hillgrove and Swiss Cottage. Anyway, we were supposed to head down to Teck Whye Primary School by eleven-thirty in the morning, so my friends and I had an early recess alongside the lower secondary, after eating, we left the school whilst the lower secondary were still lining up in their classes. We felt so free once we stepped outside the school gate, but the eight of us knew we had important things to do, and we immediately walked down to the bus stop (after making a detour to buy some sweets at the LRT station, did I say immediately?) and took a direct bus from there to reach our destination. Once there, we ate some more, haha, I practically spent my entire day eating fruits, as I was eating another slice worth of watermelon, other than the one I ate earlier on during the early recess. Thereafter, while we waited for the bus to get ready with the other schools that were there already, we got bored and decided to head to the fitness corner to have fun. We took a whole bunch of pictures, that I will post at a later date. Anyway, after the photo-taking session at the fitness corner, we went up the bus and were on our way to Methodist Girls' School where the event was taking place. Nothing much happened on the bus, except loads of crappy jokes and laughing as we interacted with the Hillgrove students, whilst the Swiss...I don't know what were they doing behind, haha. Anyway, we arrived at the school, and lessons probably just ended as a huge bunch of primary and secondary schoolgirls started pouring out from the gates, they convierged the two schools today, see. I had never seen so many maids or expensive cars all in one area at once before, so it was quite amazing, but it was to be expected, since it was a rather well known and RICH school after all. We took the "barang-barang" up to the hall, using the lift, (THE LIFT, MIND YOU!) and as we entered the air-conditioned hall (AIR CONDITIONED HALL, MIND YOU!) we realized that we were half an hour early and that the primary school kids had yet to arrive, so much for our lack of "kiasu-ness." We were given time to explore the school or head down to the canteen for our break, whilst we waited for the kids to arrive. My unit and myself decided to go to the canteen for what? Yes, more food. Fruits, for me. I ate, more watermelon, and I entertained myself by teaching some girls how to eat as dirtily as a guy, HAHA! Anyway, we headed back up afterwards, and nearly got lost in between the secondary and the primary blocks. When we finally found the hall, it was quite filled with the primary school kids, they were all so cute, just sitting there and listening to the speaker that was upfront. We were suddenly ushered out and were given a briefing of the day's activities, basically, it was team-building games and first-aid practice. We were taught first-hand by the teacher how to do the bandaging, and we cottoned on quickly. We even posed pictures with our "bandaged limbs". After we were done, it appears that we were given ANOTHER break, and we were to head down to the canteen for more FOOD! I ate something other than food this time, fishballs, to be exact, and I did a comical dance with one of the balls as I nearly dropped it, and tried my best to catch it but to no avail. It rolled into the nearby drain, and stayed there. Once I was done eating, what did I go for? The fruits, bananas. Man, their bananas were the size of two bratwurst sausages added together! I ate four, and earned the name "Bananaboy" thanks to that. After the refreshments, we went to our teams and the team-building games began. It was alot of fun, and the games were definitely interactive for the students to communicate and socialize. I was amazed to see how some of them had so much potential to be strong leaders. Anyway, there was also this irritating kid, he kept contradicting me, and being the "nice" person I am, I left him alone (chucks a sawed hand into a plastic bag). Anyway, after the tiring games, we went back up to the air-conditioned hall (AIR CONDITIONED, MIND YOU!) to begin the first-aid practice. It was so cute, the way the kids tied their friends' bandages and argued over how it should be done, it was really, really funny. Finally, it was all over, and all of us went back to the bus to head back to Teck Whye, where we departed after that. My friends and I, along with our sir, Christopher, went to chill at this "hill thingy" outside the school. We were waiting for one of my friend's boyfriend, before we headed down to Lot One Shopping Mall for our dinner. I ate grilled fish and rice, and? That's right, FRUITS!!! Haha, after the entire thing, we took the train home, and left for our respective homes. Well, that's about it, and to those that know, my foot's fixed, thanks to a couple of good eggs. xD
Here are the pictures I took (mainly myself, for the time being, more pictures will be added soon):

At the fitness corner, trying to look cool, and...healthy, I guess.

At the monkey bars, doing what a "monkey" does best. xD

The number increases from one to woah?

The number just keeps increasing...

See lah, go and "monkey" some more lah...now look what happened... xO

Yohohoho...A pirate's life for me... NO LAH, THIS IS A HEAD BANDAGE, DAMMIT!

"Why you so careless, like three-year old kid like that..."

Hey, should we really be putting our hands on an injured person like that, dude?

My name is Nana... Ba Nana... (if you are wondering what the hell I am "shooting" at, it's James Bond.)

THE KIDS!!! Wow, what a mess...

"Alright girls, listen to this big kor kor here...Here's how you embarass yourself in public... :I"

Here's me showing a bad example to the kids, "chatting whilst the teacher is crapping, oops!"

Look at them...bunch of little devils... xD

Wow, she has great potential to be a nurse! xD

Acting cool on the top of the hill...Not so cool after the ants started crawling up my pants...

Halfway while acting cool...this happened.

"I would just like to thank you guys for joining me in my quest for ants in my pants, hey it rhymes!"

Well, that's about it for this post, enjoy the new song, by the way, I heard it from Live From Abbey Road, liked it, hope you did too. xD

Sidetracks; Resurrection! Now to find out what happened while I was not typing crap into a website! (Part II)

Here it is, part two of what happened while I wasn't blogging. This post is going to be about an event my school had, and the actual thing just took place yesterday. Anyway, the event was called "The Fun Fiesta", basically, it was a fun fair full of games and food. Games stalls and food stalls were to be set up by the school's own students, including yours truly. Well, I was posted to do up the games stall so I will be elaborating more on that. My class' idea was to make a combination structure for ball games. The draft was that we have basketball, soccer, and a water bomb(ball) game "polymerized" into one giant-sized structure or cardboard. The idea was taken by our teacher and so we set to work. I didn't really know what happened that they actually managed to obtain a huge wooden structure for the soccer, basketball and water ball games. Basically, on the day of preparation, a day before the actual event, we were told to set up our stalls at the parade grounds where tentages were already made for us. So, the wooden structure was fixed up, and it was rather plain to me, so being a budding artist, if I may say so myself, I began to draw my crap onto the structure, and when it was done...You will see in my pictures later. So the structure was set up at our stall, and we all went home excited about the next day. The day finally arrived, and I slept alittle longer than others who actually woke up at four to five in the morning to get their last minute preparations done for the big day, or so I heard. Anyway, I entered the school compound and I already saw stalls that were set up and ready for the event. I went to my stall, and admired my work alittle longer, before heading to the staff room to find my NPCC teacher to get her to give me and my friend cab fare to take a taxi to Teck Whye Primary School, basically for a NPCC meeting or briefing, yes, on a school event as big as this, NPCC never fails to take away half of the fun, no complaints though, considering that the person in charge of the briefing gave us refreshments, and I got to eat some rather good noodles at the nearby coffeeshop. After the briefing, my friend and I headed back to school to enjoy the rest of the event, it was still early considering that it was twelve plus, and that the event was said to last from nine to four-thirty in the afternoon. When we reached back at school, the event was in full swing. There were idiots, I mean, potential customers everywhere, playing games and eating their(disgusting) goodies that were(scary), made by our own students. I say this because my friend actually bought from a friend of mine, Aloysuis and his class' special banana-marshmellow in chocolate sauce, I joked that it looked like a banana from outer space with poo on it, heh. Anyway, I went around and saw that our stall's water ball game was the most popular amongst the three ball games we had prepared. I headed down with my friend to Vanessa's stall where I played her "whatever-it-was-called-lah candles game", and I managed to win a Ribena bag from them, which came in quite handy, considering that it soon became my containment unit for water bombs that were to be thrown at my unsuspecting friends or in this case, targets. I went by Sharmin's stall, but the prizes didn't attract me, >=D, so I made off with my friend with Sharmin yelling that I will die tomorrow or soon, I couldn't really catch what she said due to the noise, but close enough. Anyway, just when I passed by my stall again, my teacher somehow caught me off-guard, and I ended up being in the boys' toilet filling up water bombs with my friend. We were grumbling and throwing water bombs all around the toilet before my teacher came in with two more helpers and we booked it, haha, we fled the scene and that's when I went home. The rest of the afternoon I spent resting. Come late afternoon, I received a call from Sharmin, and I invited her to go play some B-Ball. She agreed, and since Vanessa was with her, I thought that it would be a good idea for her to come along as well. Turns out, it wasn't that great an idea to play basketball that day, considering that our usually secluded court turned out to be a court meant for strippers and so we left for the nearest court I knew about. Sharmin was pissed, and I knew it, so I did my best to keep all of our spirits up, but to no avail, especially since, THE OTHER COURT WAS OCCUPIED AS WELL! More and more guys ended up going onto the court and a match began whilst the three of us, just totally did lame stuff at the playground near the court. Lame stuff like throwing the basketball into make-shift hoops, and passing the ball to one another. In the end, we did manage to ball alittle, but after a single match, Vanessa got tired and so we headed down to the coffeeshop where I ate my dinner, and Sharmin drank alittle of the bad bandung that I bought for her. I pissed her off alittle when I didn't finish my food, I guess, but heck, she didn't finish her bandung! xO But then again, her religion is as such, so I guess I was wrong to do such insensitive things infront of her, so note to self: never eat infront of muslims if you know you won't be finishing your food. Anyway, we went our seperate ways after the rather unhappy dinner, after I received a call from my parents that my grandmother's leg was swollen, and that we were going to visit her. I rushed home immediately got changed and went to visit her. Her foot seemed to have healed miraculously when we reached there, but hey, she's my grandmother! She even got hit by a durian on the head once and didn't even flinch! xD Well, in the end, we went home, and I went to bed after watching alittle bit of my VCDs. Now for the pictures of the structure I drew:

How's this for art? Haha! Sharmin kept saying it's "censored", well of course it is! If it wasn't, it would be rated!

Hey check it out, I have alittle bit of white hair! Haha, I got it whilst painting the structure, see the white spot on the guy's pants? That's the same paint that I got on my hair. xD

Well, that's what's been going on lately, I guess, I left out a few other major incidents, but heck with it, my hands belong to me, and I know they are frickin' tired at the moment, so catch you guys later.

Sidetracks; Resurrection! Now to find out what happened while I was not typing crap into a website! (Part I)

Hey all, it's been awhile since I blogged, hasn't it? Yes, I am sure the dates are rather obvious and plain to see. Anyway, here's what's been happening whilst I wasn't blogging. Basically, this happened a few weeks back from the date that I am posting this. Well, I was busy at the ICA building, to make my IC. My parents decided that they will bring me to get it done, since it was on the way. We had breakfast somewhere nearby the place, and the food wasn't really that fantastic. Anyway, we headed on down to the building. That was when I happily realized, that I had forgotten to take a passport-sized photo. So we had to make a trip to the instant photo booth that was in the building, my mom and I that is, Dad always liked to wander off on his own somewhere and land up being in some eating spot, or in this case, the building's cafeteria. So there I was, making weird impressions using the photo booth's nearby mirror. There was a queue, as usual, and while I was waiting my turn, my mom happily dapped abit of make up on me, and this was quite embarassing considering that others were around, anyway, the make up being foundation make up would look funny on my IC's photograph if not patched up properly, so I had no choice but to let her finish it. The photo booth was split into two sections, but both for the same motive, to take pictures and give them instantly. The two sections to me (and my highly imaginative self), was like heaven and hell. Basically, the one on the left, the lady that was taking the photos for us, that is, seemed much kinder, and more mild as compared to the one on the right, who was a super loud lady with eyes the size of watemelons, ears that looked like they belonged to Dumbo... Alright, getting to the point, she was a perfectionist, but if you don't do it her way, she just does the photo once, and that's it, not like the other who will bother to let you take another time to get you satisfied. So, there was this family infront of me, and I was half-hoping that they will go to "dark side", but it seemed bleak as the guy on the left, (the good side), seemed to be faster than the idiot who was taking his own sweet time on the right, although the "devil lady" was obviously displeased. Just when I thought all hope was lost, and that the family was going to end up in my desired "good side", the guy on the "dark side", finally decided to hasten, and he was done in a jiffy, just a mere five seconds before the guy on the "good side" was done. (Alright, please pause to take a breather, I know that my story has been rather confusing for you, please do not worry over this, just take a sip of whatever you have in your cup and just continue reading.) Anyway, so the family went to the "dark side", and I went to the gates of Heaven. So I got in, and was told to stare at the huge black box, like taking neo-print, except that you have no curtains to cover yourself while you make funny expressions. Anyway, I took the photo and got it over and done with, my mom told me to show my teeth, so I did, glad to have good cavity. Then I was off to make my IC, and boy was it hilarious. The lady making my IC totally ignored my mom, and paid attention to me only, she held my hand for the longest time when I was asked to put my thumbprint onto that purplish thing they use to make it. I was shuffling nervously since it felt weird. Anyway, the IC was done, and we went to "retrieve" Dad from the cafeteria, as expected, coffee. On our way out, I saw this immigration bureau information room, where you get to learn the immigration bureau's purposes through a fun and interactive manner (in case you haven't noticed, I took that directly off the poster what was outside the room), and I was quite interested, so we went in. It was really cool! There were computerized interactive videos that we could watch, and there was this gallery where they kept amazing reminscents about the past. I took a few pictures so that I could share the experience with you guys, so here it is:

This is an actual replica of a rare saltwater alligator's skull those illegal traders used to sell and buy at the shores of Singapore.

This is a picture of the weapons that used to be illegally sold in Singapore, check it out! Brass knuckles, actual shurikens, and on the far right, that's a really exquisite swiss army knife except that it's ten times the size of what you normally see!

WHAT'RE THOSE THINGS BEHIND ME?! TURTLES?! ELEPHANT TUSKS?! WHAT THE!

These are the axes that the policemen probably used, or perhaps even pirates, man, what I would give to own one of these. xD

Well that's it for this post, Part II coming up soon! *swings hands alittle* Man, blogging is tiring.

SPECIAL; The Adventures Of Basketball Head~! - "Bad Head Day!!!"

It was a sunny afternoon, and Basketball Head was resting on his comfy sofa.
He had been bouncing into Hoops the entire morning, and was tired... All of a sudden, Basketball Head saw something disgusting going towards him! It was a cockroach! Basketball Head had to think fast before the cockroach started to attack him... HE SQUASHED IT! Basketball Head used his huge body to force the cockroach into submission! In the end, the cockroach was forced to serve Basketball Head as punishment for disturbing his afternoon nap... Er...riight...yeah. (B-HEAD'S FAVOURITE QUOTE: "BALLHOOOOOOP!" It's YAHOOOOOO! in B-Ball language.)

Sidetrack; My bike, my basketball, and a bunch of unsightly newspapers?!?!

Dammit, didn't notice about the newspapers till i uploaded the picture. Anyway, my exams are nearly over! The moreorless major killers have passed by (mathematics, that is), and man, my brain was on fire! Not due to the headache though, that ordeal was over the day after it erupted. No, this time my brain was on fire, due to the fact that I was using it so much! Doing the mathematics paper practically switched my brain "on", and I was working a frenzy whilst doing it. Had a great time doing the paper, didn't recover from this "hyper brain" till much later. Anyway, I have been playing basketball with vanessa and sharmin the past few days, and it was quite fun, to know that, we were ALL horrible. Well, vanessa was quite good at shooting in the middle, and sharmin's been able to shoot in from the sides, whereas I... I just couldn't get my three point prowess back, but its returning, I hope. Well, basically, we have been balling the entire week, and the latest balling session, I spent it with this guy, learning on how to shoot, dodge, and dribble, it was quite fun to know more about the game I was now enthusiastic about. Well, just for the record, my ball's still half-assed. (Need a pump, badly.)

ITS THE ADVENTURES OF...BASKETBALL HEAD & GIRL BIKE!
IS IT A BIRD? IS IT A PLANE? IS IT...A REAL BASKETBALL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Sidetracks; THE HEADACHE ERUPTS!!!

Yes, and I think the title of this post is enough to explain what the picture is about. Anyway, yes, the headache erupted during my biology and social studies exams today. Let me start from the beginning. With the throbbing headache, I decided to play hero, and go under the rain, although my sister did send me with the car to the nearest point that she could (she was running late) and she let me get off at this carpark or part thereof. Well, without even bothering to open the (what would have been such a clever thing to do) umbrella, I ran in the rain towards the school's gates. Met sharmin and vanessa on the way in, but I was already having a headache then, so I didn't really stop to chat, besides, we were in the rain! Well, the headache obviously got worse, and during the social studies exam (which was said to be as easy as swallowing a sword) the headache subsided alittle, so I could do my exam. I felt that the paper was rather difficult (maybe because of the fact that i didn't study!) however, I managed to scraped through. Next to come was the dreaded biology paper. With my headache still being kept at bay, I went around getting and absorbing as much as I could. The first paper began shortly, (honestly, I don't see the need to seperate paper one and two, since we have done those two papers together many times before, might as well give us the entire crap at one go, but I shouldn't complain since that meant more time to study, that of which I think I needed) and my headache came back alittle more (no more computer games at one in the morning!) however, the paper turned out to be alright, and I moreorless got through. Paper two was the killer (now why the hell did I ever think of complaining about a break? xD) as loads of crap needed to be written, and even though writing crap was my forte, I was unable to crap as much as I usually do, due to the eruption of yes, the Mount Krakatoa in my head. I was fortunate enough to complete the paper before the eruption, so it was not so bad. All in all, a lesson learnt, and that's never to get a headache before any of my exams. (NO COMPUTER FOR A WEEK?! NOOOOOOOO CHANCE, DOC! >:D)
