Sidetracks; The Backwash of it All.

Well, the exams are over, and I have been going out almost everyday with all my friends, ahahahaha! It's all very fun and everything, but I don't know why this feeling of unsettledness just bowls me over. Man, I am sure that some other people are just like myself, feeling that the exams are over, and yet the reality of it actually being gone is just too sudden. I just can't cross over from the transition between exams to holidays completely. I suppose some of you still feel that you need to get home as soon as possible to pick up a book or something and that having too much fun is a bad thing, or maybe it's just me, ahahahaha! Anyway, because of these feelings, I actually had a nightmare and it was so frickin' realistic, I woke up in a very bad way.

The nightmare included me having to receive my O level results, and just as I am about to collect them, a whole bunch of people I know just starts chanting stuff like, "You'd better have done well". It was so pressurizing that I actually yelled for them to back off, but they would just keep chanting it anyway. I couldn't stand it any further, and these manifestations of my fear just wouldn't go away so I had to bit myself awake, and I suppose it worked. Weird dream, huh?

Anyway on a different note, I was seeing alot of people getting into relationships for the past few days, and it's the hols and everything, so I am sure it's natural. I was just thinking that maybe people should get into relationships when they are serious about each other, because especially if they were good friends before, if the relationship didn't work out, that friendship they had would turn stale too right? I suppose this is the negative outlook of it all, I am sure the feeling of being in love is pretty sweet too, I wouldn't know exactly myself, but I guess I have decided to wait till I am actually matured enough to know what I want, because there's so many nice things that have yet to happen! And you never really know!

Sidetracks; End Of The O Levels! + Outing right after it!!! Muahahahaha!!!

It's over!!! It's finally over!!! The FRICKIN' GCE 'O' Level Examinations are finally OVER! Ahahahahah! Can't stop expressing my joy by exclaiming everything. Ok, there was a myriad of feelings when I stepped out of the examination hall at nine plus (we stayed behind to do our usual checking of answers) after the Biology paper, firstly it was a huge sense of relief, but it came with a tinge of anxiety, and followed by a sense of guilt. Heh, relieved that it's over, anxious about how well I have fared, and guilty because I was already thinking of having fun, and it seemed so wrong after we have been slogging away like cows for the past few weeks, close to a month.

Well, enough about the exams, heh, it's over and done with, now on to the outing! Immediately after the paper, I already had an outing to go to, and it was the gathering of the Secondary Four NCOs from the NPCC unit. I was frickin' excited to get into the holiday mood at last, so I got my clothes and headed with my friends to get the drinks for the BBQ which was being held at East Coast Park. Man, we bought 10 bottles of Pepsi and Coke(wasn't there an article about them being unhealthy?), but it sure was cheap!

We soon took the train to meet up with the rest, but soon realized we were at the wrong stop when Linsay messaged us that they were at a different station. So very reluctantly we got our feet to walk us along with the bottles to the correct spot where we were supposed to gather. When we got there, alot of our squadmates had already gathered and it was fun to see them all again after all the examinations.

We got to the BBQ pit after a long ride on the bus(and lots of walking). We were unable to start the fire because November and December has always been a "good" seasons for BBQs, don't you think? With all this raining going on, obviously a fire wouldn't start! So we had to take refuge at a shelter and while there, our rumbling stomachs could not wait any longer so we dug into the beehoon. Following that, we went to rent bikes and began to CYCLE! Man, did we cycle! We went from our pit all the way to the jetty where we took out first picture:

Heh, it's us with our bikes!

Anyway, after that, we continued cycling because we decided to find a nicer spot to take pictures from, away from all the ships behind us, and we soon saw this breakwater (ya, geography), and decided to take pictures whilst standing on it, heh. So these were the pictures:

First thought, "Ok...the sky is not exactly blue."

Jia Hui and me. (Ok, so we couldnt get rid of the ships after all, and we gave up anyway.)

Denise and Me, heh, I still think your natural hair colour is amazing! (Swimming in the morning really works??)

AHAHAHAHA! Smiling like idiots, but we couldn't help it really!

Linsay and Me!

Me and Chingwee, monkeying around as usual!

Well, that's basically most of what we took for the pictures there, the girls took their own pictures by themselves just as we the guys did, heh, but we forgot to do a group photo! What a waste! But it's ok because later on when we headed back to our pit to try and start the fire, it started drizzling again, so we went to the seaside where we took even more pictures, heh!
Here they are:

Candid moment!

Well, we got to take our group photo after all! But it wasnt everybody though!

Finally, after taking pictures with our individual phones, we got to starting the fire. The grass was really muddy and very awful to walk on, but we made it to the pits alright. The rain had stopped so we could finally start our fire, but the best part is, we didn't prepare the gripping device (I have totally no idea what it's called, and the one I heard sounded reaaaaaally wrong, so can somebody tell me if it's really called thongs?), and we didn't know how to start a fire! Finally after loads of fanning and a dozen firestarters, we got the charcoal to whiten up and finally start burning, but here's a picture of what it was before the flames got heated up:

Pathetic, I know ahahahah! But kudos to Linsay, Chingwee, Esadora and Denise for persevering to start the proper fire!

The fire finally started, but we were seriously lacking in utensils, we didn't have the brush meant to spread butter on the food, and so we used a fork, and the person putting the butter was Linsay so we ended up having very oily and salty sausages and crabmeat for the first few plates...

After we had eaten our fill, we went to take a bath at the toilets because we were feeling like we desperately needed one. So after the baths, we went to this funfair thingy near the toilets you guys might know about. We played the games there and boy, the one where you win prizes frickin' rips you off! I was totally keen on getting that Audio System which said 18 points, and since I had 6 rolls of the ball to land on a number from 1-8, I was thinking, "WOW, SO EASY!?!?" and then after I rolled more than 30 and wanted to raise my hand to point at it, the guy just promptly took a Tamiya Car Model Kit and placed it infront of me. I was about to go, "What the heck?? Dude, I want the Audio System." Then he explained himself without me asking. "You have to roll exactly the number to get whatever prize you want." My mouth just dropped.

Well, in the end, we won a bunch of prizes, with Linsay and Chingwee getting HUGE teddy bears and Linsay got another car model kit which I am supposed to help her fix up and give it to her another day, heh, well I've the time now, so what the heck! Well, here's the last picture we took before finally packing up at the funfair:

The one at ESCAPE more kick lah. (YOU JUST THOUGHT OF THAT DIDNT YOU!)

Well, this brings the outing to a close, as we went back to our pits, cleaned the area and left, heh, I am glad this outing came along when it did, totally got me into the mood of the holidays at last, and I still can't believe it's all over, heh, I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms of wanting to go home and study and not waste time, ahhahaahha! But SERIOUSLY, to all of you who just completed the exams, IT'S OVER, GO AND HAVE FUN!

Sidetracks; Dreamer Akira

Hasegawa Akira is a 13-year-old boy who has never done anything for himself. All he does in the day, as well as at night is to dream of things which will never happen unless he did something about it, but he just refuses to. One day, Akira stumbled upon an old book at the great oak tree in his grandmother's backyard. He opens the book and a small girl appears from it in a puff of smoke. Her name is Chiyoko, and she promises to change Akira's life if he just agrees to her unspoken conditions. Akira agrees but he is soon trapped in the battle of his life as he slowly learns of a second world, one similar to our own, but where his dreams could possibly come true...

Heh, this is a typical magical storyline which I just thought about doing for a small manga during the hols after the Os, just thought I should pen it down somewhere just in case I forget about it altogether. I am hoping that you guys can actually tell me about your dreams and just put down some examples on your tagboard, because I intend to use them as reference when I am building the second world in the story. You can even put down your nightmares, if you can bear to remember them, and I'll definitely use those, heh! But knowing that the tagboard is short, I am just going to need keypoints from your story, so for example just type like this if you can share your small dreams:
1. Place 2. Event 3. Feeling
1. Pool 2. Sunk to the bottom 3. Pressure

Basically, your event and feeling is the more important bit, but I'll need a place as well, so that's just it, heh, hope that you guys can help me along, it's going to be like a compilation of dreams and if you like I might add your character into the story itself, hehe
