Sidetracks; Wild Wild Wet and Vivo City!

Muahahaha, finally willing to blog, heh, was too lazy to type about the entire trip even though it already took place like five days ago. Yeah, so went out recently with Keane, Linsay, Liping, Terin and Aloysuis, and it was hell lot of fun! So first it was Wild Wild Wet, and damn, this being the first time I am going there, it's got me wanting to go back for more! When we first got there the place was actually less crowded than we had expected, but that was all the better for us because then we could try out all the rides without having to wait, woohoo! We went on the first ride, which involved cycling on bikes while in the air. Honestly, this ride was kinda useless but helped to warm up our legs bah, ahahaha! So the next ride was more interesting, it involved two of us sitting on this float-like thing and sliding up and down this huge U-shaped structure and that was fun! I sat with Keane, and I was sitting in the backwards position so when the ride was over, my back kinda hurt ahahaha but it was alright after awhile. After that ride, we hanged out at this Lazy Pool and simply floated down this river-like pool with the waves helping to push us along. Finally got out of the pool and went to the next ride which lets all of us take part together. It was the one where we sit on this huge float and slide down this ridiculously enormous slide, and it was fun! I didn't know that this ride would take pictures so with my mouth opened wide it was really funny when the picture came out on the screen later on. After this ride, there were other huge slides but they were meant for one person only but it was fun as well, and we had fun at this playground in the water as well but we were actually waiting for this huge bucket of water that'd pour water on the people sitting beneath the playground. After all that, we got to my least favourite ride, because it got me all giddy after I was done with it. This ride was called the Tsunami, for those of you who don't know, it replicates huge waves and sends them at you while you are in the water and you can imagine getting thrashed by huge waves and water coming at you every few seconds. But it was fun in a way, we messed with the floats that were over there and just tried to enjoy getting thrashed by the waves. After this ride, we just relaxed at the Lazy Pool once more and finally once we had relaxed enough, we went for all the rides ONCE MORE. But not after we took alot of pictures with the underwater camera that place provided at the Lazy Pool, I am too lazy to upload all the pictures but I will put some up you can see them below later. After the rides, we finally decided we have had enough, it was around four by then so we left for the changing rooms and finally left the place.

The next place we headed to was yeap, Vivo City, because Terin wanted to get something from there. We reached there and had our dinner at the food court. Aloysuis actually introduced that the Hokkien Mee there is really popular, which was true since there was a long queue. But Keane and I were already super hungry and so we ended up buying food from the stall next to it. But before we knew it, Aloysuis had already bought his food and we were still ordering ours! Keane bought this Tom Yam Steamboat and I got the Deluxe Everything-Also-Put-Inside Fish Soup. Linsay bought the same dish as Keane, Terin was eating healthy steamed food, and Liping ordered the same as me. Eating halfway, Linsay started putting alot of chilli into her already super spicy Tom Yam soup. Then she asked everyone to try, and when I looked at it, with all the redness and yellowish oil floating around, I only thought of one thing: Poison. Ahahaha, but of course it was edible and good thing didn't suffer any side effects or Linsay would have gotten it worse. After dinner we walked around alittle and took pictures. Finally decided to go home after we were done walking. Aloysuis and Terin took a different bus and the rest of us went home together on the same bus. On the bus, something embarassing happened, and it wasn't entirely my fault. I happened to be carrying Liping's umbrella for her, and I hung it on the seat, then the bus turned and the umbrella started sliding towards the passenger adjacent from me and I wanted to grab it but because the bus which should have stopped turning by then TURNED SOME MORE, I crashed into the girl and it was super embarassing because I could tell she was PISSED! I apologized profusely and then avoided eye-contact by not looking at my left for the rest of the journey. Yeap, so that was my day out and I definitely had loads of fun, but my wallet is getting quite thin so I guess if I wanna go out for this sort of trips more often I need to save up again, ahahahaha!! So as promised, here are the pictures:

Damn... I am the only one wearing white.

Heh, just like an Oreo cookie, Black-White-Black!

The uncle who took the picture was really nice, thanks balding uncle!

Alamak, forgot to smile, sorry ahahaha!! (Me and Liping)

Aiyo damn dude, beside you I look like I am NOT even trying to smile! (Me and Keane)

WHY ALL THE PICTURSES I NOT SMILING PROPERLY!?!?!? (Me and Linsay)

This picture is reaaaallly blur, we reaaaaallly need a digital camera for outings like this!
Yes yes, it's the usual star-shaped patterns we can do with fingers.
So now it's our feet!

This picture reminds me of a scene from some movie, can't remember its title though!

Ok lah all in all, a verrrry fun trip and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, but these past few days I have been getting bad headaches and nightmares about the waves, but it's all good now, heh. Blog again soon!

Sidetracks; Swensen's, and my tomato sauce incident #2

I never thought that I'd say this, but maybe affinity does play a part even between places and people after all...

Today was a great start! I went to school for Chemistry supplementary lessons (ON TIME WOR!!!), and we finally completed the syllabus! Now the revision begins, and that's good for me since I already forgot most of the previous stuff the teacher's taught us. Like, what the hell was an acid anyway (Mr Lee if you do visit blogs, I am just kidding)... So after the lesson, I had to rush down to Causeway Point because I thought I was about to be late for my outing with Vanessa and Sharmin. And so, we went to Swensen's for lunch...big mistake (for me, that is). We sat at a table nearer to the corner to be less conspicuous to the rest of the crowd. We placed our orders and continued talking crap, and I spotted a feedback form which I got quite interested in trying out a new pen I bought because I donated to some charity (no idea what was the name, the guy just popped out of nowhere and demanded two dollars, robbery right?). I was just reminded of my previous incident in Swensen's, when I spilled tomato sauce all over my pants (frickin' embarassing since it was especially infront of people I knew). So happily chatting and then the guy brought the fries which Sharmin and I ordered, Vanessa ordered something, but since I don't really recall the name, I am going to say that she ordered Pasta, because I think that's the category her food was under. Since we only ordered two servings of fries, there was a third serving on the guy's tray. So he first placed down the first serving for Sharmin (very nicely hor), then after that he came to me... Before I knew it, there was fries infront of me, (my own serving of fries), and a whole arsenal of fries, tomato sauce and tartar behind my back and on my leg!!! What did I do? I could have gone hysterical and start yelling, but of course I didn't lah, instead I opted for the more milder manner of handling this sort of situations... I just stared at my "accident". The guy kept apologizing profusely, but dude, damn, what happened? Saw me filling up the feedback form then decided, "Eh, let's shower that guy with fries 'cause he seems to be making fun of us with that form", IS IT!? *Calms down* Ahahaha, then after that they kept giving me tissue paper, Sharmin was laughing, I don't know what Vanessa was doing, but I was more concerned about my red-and-white pants (macam like National Day flag like that). After that incident, they started addressing me as "Sir", it would have sounded great if it weren't for the cold wet stickiness I was feeling on my sides!!! So after trying to clean up my pants and shirt with the tissue they provided, I finally thought, aiya go toilet lah. So keeping a straight face (you have no idea how stupid I looked trying to keep a straight face when my pants is like dripping tomato sauce), I asked the guy politely, "Where is the nearest toilet?" And the guy was very polite too, he went, "You go out, and you go all the way left." I asked, "Is it far?" and he said, "Yes." So STILL KEEPING CALM, I walked out of the place and went to the restroom, and heck it WAS far!!! And so nice for me, a huge crowd has started patronizing Causeway Point all of a sudden, and for some reason, they were all on the third floor, oh how nice... Stares, I am not sure if there were, but I GUESS SO, I MEAN WHO THE HELL WALKS AROUND A MALL WITH HIS PANTS DRIPPING WITH SAUCE (yeah, can't stop it with the sauce complaints)?!?!?! I washed my shirt and pants and tried to dry it, but no point because the smell's already seeping through the pores of the shirt and the smell began to linger even after countless scrubbing. So I miserably went back to the place, with my shirt now looking instead of, "this guy don't know how to eat", it was, "this guy don't know how to use the bathroom sink". So ended up eating with the shirt and pants smelling like that but my mood was already affected, haiz. I decided to mess with the feedback form for real after that, writing loads of crap on it, but not intending to hand it up of course, but ahahaha, it's hilarious because er... I think I left the form there in the end, but since I don't think I will be going back there, I don't mind I guess. Anyway, no matter, later I had no choice but to use a budget and buy a cheap shirt because the smell was really quite bad, and we wanted to continue walking around some more so I can't have that smell following us everywhere either. After buying the shirt and quickly changing into it, we went up to the arcade to just have fun. Sharmin introduced this game, it's the one where you stack up blocks so that you get a prize, which was frickin' fabulous because there were prizes like a PSP and even digital cameras (haiz, I want one of those). After playing a few more games, Sharmin and I left first since Vanessa wanted to join her pals which happened to be there. So home I went, but damn it... quite suay right? Going to that place, and get accidents relating to tomato sauce TWICE? So yeah, affinity does play a small part, but in this case, a huge part, and on a final note...
WAH LAU EH, MY SHIRT MY PANTS, MY POOR POOR SHIRT AND PANTS, WAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

Sidetracks; Terminal Three & The Outing

Hey all, recently went to the titular place, and it was pretty cool. Although I don't think I had seen everything, I sure had fun there. T3's got shops, at least I think the shops was alittle more interesting than the other terminals. I'd went there with my sister and her friend Goldie too, and our purpose there was to eat Popeye's chicken! Anyway, other than looking around at the shops, we really didn't do much after that. So, on to the next topic in my title...

Yesterday, the three of us, Zhengyu, Xianzhe and myself agreed to go town to get ourselves some clothes, heh. I think we all realized that our wardrobe was starting to look "outdated" (ok lah, maybe just me, because got all that old man's clothes). So we went to Orchard first, thinking that the Great Singapore Sale meant loads of good offers and clothes to look at, but damn, we were wrong. Sure, the sale offered lots of great discounts, but they didn't deliver the clothes we wanted! It was all formal wear and it was weird for us to be browsing through those clothes when our dressing at point of time obviously showed we weren't working class people. So after wasting our time at places like John Little, and Metro, we finally made a wiser decision and go to a place more suited for our type, Bugis. So down we headed to Bugis Street and woohoo, we found the sort of clothes we were looking for. At the main entrance we saw some watches on offer, and I really needed one so bo bian ah, cheapskate so I bought it since it was like only five bucks, muahaha! They bought watches too, and the designs on theirs was nice (because I saw first mah but didnt buy only muahaha, see I GOT TASTE!). We went deeper and found clothes we liked, and they were selling pretty "cheap" too, but since we didn't know how to bargain, and didn't want to lose face, we just looked on. Finally found some clothes we could afford so I bought myself some and so did Xianzhe. Zhengyu was just listing down stuff he thought was nice so that he could take a look again some other time, I don't think he intended to buy any clothes on that day. After walking through the narrow corridors at the place, we finally decided to get dinner, and we went huge rounds around Bugis Street and Bugis Junction trying to look for Subway where we wanted to eat sandwiches. In the end, we ended up at Burger King (aiya, close enough lah, burger and sandwiches, both also need to put stuff in the middle then taste nice right?). After eating, we'd wanted to go back to Bugis Street, but we went to Suntec instead. WE FRICKIN' WALKED. Zhengyu told ghost stories while we walked, it was night, so yeah, very helpful dude ahahaha. When we reached the place we looked around some more but we weren't really in the mood to buy stuff anymore so we just walked around a while longer and then finally took the bus home. Overall, the happiest part from that trip was my purchase of clothes which I kinda like, but then for those of you who know my taste, you'd probably go, "Wah lau, Vashon, your taste in clothes ah..." Yeah, so only time will tell, when I hang out with some of you next time, ahahahaha, I might be wearing the new stuff instead of the usual old man clothes (-.-). Ok lah, blog again some other time, here are the pictures!
