Sidetracks; Monday Blues

Yeah all, it's back to school again and this is probably just the last post before the exam fever kicks back in. Man, it's almost as if after one weekend, all the homework decided to gang up and throw themselves at us in one day! But of course, it's only because we hadn't been finishing what we should have, so there really isn't anyone else to blame but ourselves muahahaha! Well, I believe if I spread out my time evenly I should be able to get rid of some of them by the end of today, heh! To talk about today, it'd be a drag because nothing much happened at all. It seemed like an ordinary school day, with everyone feeling tired and sleepy because the weekend is still fresh in their minds. Lessons carried on as usual regardless of how lethargic we may look to our teachers, they sure can stay perky, those teachers, heh. Just thought I'd congratulate Xianzhe for scoring well for our recent E math test, heh, you sure improved alot dude, but hey, I didn't do that badly either, so let's continue to rival each other dude, heh (and if possible, next time go and compete with the better ones, you know who I mean heh)! Alright, that's all for this post before I get to my work. Study hard everyone, and it's the English O' Level Oral Examinations next week, heh, time to stock up on honey and water eh?

Sidetracks; The Musical! Little Shop Of Horrors (No doubt it was horrific, heh)!

Hi all, I am back as promised to blog about another huge event! This musical that I attended yesterday at Republic Polytechnic was done by my school and it's probably the last event that my class and I will take part in for the school. It was a night worth going in my opinion, because I think we had loads of fun (basically making fun of the show, but heh heh, it was good lah). Alright, so here I go with the events that took place yesterday.

Basically, there was the usual lessons in the morning, for Additional Mathematics and right after that lesson, Mr Koh gave us an Elementay Mathematics test! I am not sure if I did well in the paper, but it seemed rather easy as compared to the standard that he's been setting for us the past few weeks. Anyway, moving on, after the lessons, I headed down to the Lot One shopping centre with my friends to take a look at some last-minute shopping. It was a rather formal event and we all had to dress up nicely, so I decided to make the extra effort this time, by deciding to get a tie! In the end, the ties we found were all really expensive, but I managed to get a relatively cheaper tie and we left for our own homes after that. I met up with Sharmin to give her the ticket to the musical, and just a reminder to her, I NEED THE FIFTEEN DOLLARS ASAP MAN, I GOT THE TICKET FROM A TEACHER THIS TIME! Anyway, after reaching home, I really had nothing else to do, so i picked up the guitar and I started to lose track of time.

Before I knew it, it was an hour before I was supposed to meet Eileen, Zalikha and Jarah at Choa Chu Kang MRT station to go to the musical. I hurriedly got changed and then went to meet up with them. Coincidentally, I met Eileen and Jarah on the train first, so we were heading together on the train to Choa Chu Kang, when it dawned on me that, I FORGOT TO BRING MY TICKET! Man, I probably had such a horrified look on my face the people around me must have thought I accidentally knocked my hand against the train door. I quickly told Eileen and Jarah that I'd meet them at Causeway Point instead, which was the place we were going to eat at and I took the bus which I felt would be faster for me back home. Very quickly, I got home and got my ticket, and left for the bus-stop, because luckily for me, there's a bus right below my house which brings me to Causeway directly.

Soon I reached the place and Eileen and Jarah were already with Zalikha and they were eating, and they were nearly done! I didn't eat in the end because I really didn't feel like eating after rushing all the way there, I was more thirsty in fact. So we walked around alittle and then finally decided to make our way there, because Faris who was supposed to meet us told me he'd be reaching later. So we went ahead first, and Zalikha actually brought a MAP! Good thing she did though, and based on my "great sense of direction" we made it there (left out certain details, but it won't affect my story :P). After reaching there, we also met up with more of our friends who had just reached. So we started heading to the cultural centre's theatre where we continued to marvel at how huge and how rich Republic Polytechnic was.

We got there really early and soon alot of people were arriving in and it got really noisy with so many people looking and staring in awe at how stylish and different their friends looked. And before long we were inside the theatre itself. It was pretty alright for a theatre heh, and the secondary four express classes sat together which was pretty fun especially since we could talk to each other more easily (heh heh, not very good audience behavior, I know). The musical started and it was pretty cool. The props were really well-made in a way, especially since it was a great effort put in by our own schoolmates, kudos to them man. During the intermission, Adi and I chatted about the musical and some other crappy stuff as we normally do. We said that the intermission was meant for those smokers to start chain-smoking in the toilets if they needed. Then Adi crapped about how they can just take all the cigarettes in one pack and stuff them in their mouths to make it simpler, frickin' funny thought. Then I said that when they exhale the smoke, they exhale ten times more, people is one thin line, theirs is like a fog had just entered the toilet. Well, the musical soon started again and the last bit was quite interesting. The female lead had actually been half-eaten by the man-eating plant, but yet she was able to come out and sing with the male lead before jumping back in to die, like what the hell's up with that?! Anyway, The musical soon ended and it was a pretty fun show, human-eating plants, corny love scenes and dramatic tragedy put into one, if I was asked to summarize the show.

After the musical, everybody started heading home, I went with Linsay, Zhongping and Liping, Martin (a new friend), to Causeway to grab something to eat. It was pretty late by then, nearing eleven, and surprisingly there were still loads of people there, mostly our own schoolmates. Very soon we were heading home as well, and I couldn't wait to reach home either. Well, I took loads of pictures (DUH! How can waste sucha good opportunity to have friends dress up for a good photo?), so here are some of them heh, take a look!
